Vital Reading Season Preview – Fulham

Club: Fulham

Founded: 1879

Nickname: The Cottagers

Ground: Craven Cottage (Capacity: 25,700)

When we face off: Sat 27th October (H), Sat 4th May (A)

Last season finish: 9th

Manager: Martin Jol – The Dutchman has had a relatively good first season as Fulham boss, guiding them to a top-half finish and has certainly brough the best out of Clint Dempsey.

Key player: Brede Hangeland – The towering defender is a very reliable, composed figure for Fulham and has been so for many years. A superb defender with great strength, aerial ability and distribution.

Season Preview: Fulham did very well last year to finish where they did, but their fortunes could depend on securing the future of American forward Clint Dempsey.

If they sell and fail to replace him, they could lose that attacking spark they had last season. Either way, I feel the Cottagers will have a comfortable mid table finish, with no real threat of relegation.
