Pre season update – first friendly cancelled

Reading’s first pre-season game, which was scheduled to take place against Wycombe, has been cancelled.

The game at Adams Park was set to take on Saturday 13th July, but due to the pitch at Adams Park not yet been completed, the fixture can no longer go ahead. The poor weather conditions over the past few has set it back and in the interests of both clubs, have opted to cancel.

Nigel Adkins will hope to secure another friendly around this date, but this could well be a behind closed doors game. This means that the first scheduled fixture will take place in Portugal, as the Royals will face Belenenseson on Tuesday 16th July.
