Reports have emerged that Portsmouth are after Reading winger Hal Robson-Kanu, who is out of contract this summer.

The Welsh International had a good 2010/11 season for the Royals, breaking into the first team on numerous occasions and scored 5 goals in the process.

He is currently in discussions to stay at the Madejski stadium and sign a new deal but Steve Cotterill is keen to add to his squad, that has already seen Jason Pearce and David Norris head to Fratton Park.

Robson-Kanu’s agent Gary Saunders has revealed that he is still in talks with the Berkshire club and that there has been no contact from Pompey.

The Daily Mail reported Portsmouth would be set to pay £500,000 in compensation to Reading, as he is under the age of 24.

Although, this rumour does seem a bit far-fetched and it is widely believed HRK will sign a new contract, you never know what might happen.
