Reading striker Pavel Pogrebnyak has said that change needs to happen at the club, with the Royals currently bottom of the Premier League table.

The Royals are six points from safety in the Premier League, having lost six consecutive games. Brian McDermott’s side travel to Manchester City today, to face the Premier League champions at the Etihad Stadium and the Russian international does not hold out much hope in this game, hoping they don’t concede ten goals in the match!

Speaking to the Russian-based website, spovsport.ru,Pogrebnyak said: ‘Maybe I’m influenced by my emotions, but we’re a bit afraid of travelling to Manchester. I hope we don’t concede 10 goals. I hope our manager will find something. Is it time for a change? As I see the situation it’s high time for a change.’

‘It has been for a long time but it’s not me who should be targeted with this question. Not only on Monday but we’ve been playing badly for a long time. But we don’t give up the fight. Unfortunately we haven’t been able to show more than this so far.’

Not sure if this has been slightly lost in translation, but the obvious is there for everyone to see, the Pog is hinting that something isn’t right at the club. Many could claim he hasn’t justified his big wage bill in recent weeks, but when you consider the players he has around him, can you sympathise with the big Russian?
