The Premier League have now announced the three youngsters who are in the running for the January 2018 Premier League 2 Player of the Month Award.

The four players shortlisted for this month’s award have been drawn up following PL2 Managers nominating the best individual performance from each of their opposing teams across the course of the month.

And given January’s action, the following find themselves on the shortlist.

The Premier League have some blurb on each of the nominations for this month.

Callum Hudson-Odoi (Chelsea)
The 17-year-old forward scored a hat-trick in PL2 against Sunderland and went on to make his first-team debut, appearing in both the FA Cup and Premier League for Antonio Conte.

Tyrese Campbell (Stoke City)
The 18-year-old forward had a prolific month, scoring four goals in his four appearances in PL2 and the PL Cup.

Ryan East (Reading)
The 19-year-old midfielder impressed in his PL2 matches against Brighton & Hove Albion, Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Eddie Nketiah (Arsenal)
The 18-year-old striker got a runout for Arsene Wenger’s senior side in the FA Cup, then struck two goals on his return to PL2 action, in a 4-0 victory over Manchester United.

August – Reiss Nelson (Arsenal)
September – Harry Wilson (Liverpool)
October – Declan Rice (West Ham)
November – Phil Foden (Manchester City)
December – Donovan Wilson (Wolverhampton Wanderers)
