Glenn Little is on the long road to recovery after his long standing Achilles problem was finally rectified, hopefully, by his operation. Reading physio Jon Fearn is pleased with his progress so far.

It is now almost six weeks since Little had the surgery and the progress being made so far is cause for optimism for Fearn, and when the meeting with the surgeon takes place later this week he hopes that both can receive good news, “We’re seeing the surgeon on Thursday, that will give us more clarification on when he can get running and so on,” Fearn told readingfc.co.uk.

“The six weeks after the op are the most important, and we’ve reached the end of that now.

“The next step is to get detail of where to go next. He’s doing well, and is probably a quarter of the way through.”

Few give Little much chance of playing again for Reading this season but the player himself has not given up on this, and should he be given good news then he will have every chance of doing so, which is even more important that he can as he is out of contract in the summer.

This is good to hear, and hopefully his progression can continue so he can at least play some part this season in an attempt to win a new contract, which he probably wont get if he cant play at all.
