One Win And Reading Are Up

Reading midfielder John Oster thinks that victory on Saturday over Watford will put Reading into the Premiership after reaching 92 points.

Oster has been doing his homework and knows that 91 points has always been enough to see sides through to the Promised Land ever since the Premiership started in 1992.

And the ex-Leeds man is also of the opinion that second place is far from decided yet with Watford and his ex-club Leeds being hot on the tails of Sheffield United.

Speaking to the Evening Post Oster said: ?I’ve never been in this situation before. I don’t think many teams have been this far ahead.

?Things are really hotting up for second place, though. Watford drew on Saturday and they now have to come to our place.

?We’re not quite out of sight yet, but Watford need a result against us if they are to have a real chance of getting into the automatic places. If we don’t lose that one I think we’ll be fine.

?I’d certainly much rather be in our position than Sheffield United’s. As long as we’re not losing then no-one can catch us, but we will try to get the points we need as quickly as possible and then we can really express ourselves and play some more football.?
