Steve Coppell remained unconcerned that his side didn?t hit the 100 goals total this season.

Graeme Murty?s penalty was his long awaited first goal of the season and Reading?s 99th on their way to breaking Sunderland?s points total record of 105 points.

Reading have set so many records this season that failing to reach 100 goals means nothing and it won?t stop the club being a Premiership outfit next season.

‘You spend your life in football working for moments like this,’ said Coppell.

‘It’s true we fell one short of achieving 100 goals for the season but that’s not really going to spoil my break when I’m sitting on the beach and sinking a few beers.

‘What I will reflect on is collecting the trophy on the pitch in front of the home fans. That really topped the season off.’
