Joe Mills completed his transfer to Burnley after his contract with Reading came to an end, but could now be off again!

The 23-year old had a clause in his loan deal with the Championship club, that stated that he would automatically sign for the Clarets if the Royals would let Mills’ contract expire, which it has. However, it is unlikely Mills will feature in Sean Dyche’s plans next season, having been signed by former boss Eddie Howe.

This means that the former Southampton left back could be allowed to leave either on loan or possibly on a permanent transfer. The problem with Mills is that he was never good enough to play on the left wing, yet not defensively capable enough to play left back.
