McDermott – ‘We were excellent’

Brian McDermott was pleased with the display his side put in at Preston, despite only taking a point. He told the Official Site,


‘I thought we played like the home side, we played in their half and played some really good football.’


Jem Karacan scored the equaliser with a fine strike from 25 yards and he too drew praise from McDermott.


‘It was a top goal, I was right behind it and as soon as he hit it I knew it was in. He’s got great energy and knows his job, he is maturing.’


We now head into the international break on the back of a good run and McDermott is a happy man.
