Young goalkeeper Alex McCarthy has commited his future to the club after signing a new 3 year deal at the club. The keeper had been out of contract at the end of this season, and joins Mikkel Andersen in commiting his future to the club.

McCarthy spent last season on loan at Yeovil, playing 45 games, and is currently with England under 21’s who are preparing for a game on Tuesday night at Ashton Gate.

McCarthy is likely to go out on loan again, providing we do not sell Adam Federici between now and the close of the transfer window, in which case he would act as cover for Ben Hamer.
