Royals winger Jobi McAnuff has been the first player to come out to speak about his future at the club, saying he wants to sign a new contract with the Berkshire club.

The former Watford and Crystal Palace man has currently one year left on his current deal, which runs out next summer.

He has made 62 appearences for Reading scoring 8 goals, including a fantatsic solo goal against Cardiff to help us to Wembley.

McAnuff had gained many admirers for some of his performances for the Royals, including Neil Warnock’s QPR.

He told GetBracknell that ‘I`m perfectly happy at the club and would like to stay. Hopefully something can be sorted out.”

A number of other players are in discussions about a new contract including Jimmy Kebe, captain Matt Mills and Welsh International Hal Robson-Kanu.
