After the final whistle at the Hawthorns, the Royals player wanted to celebrate the famous win with the travelling fans but some job’s worth stewards had other idea’s. They came onto the pitch and attempted to stop the players heading towards the away end with some choosing to man handle players away.

Somewhere in all of this Jobi McAnuff was sent off, but no one seems to have a clue why. The two strongest rumours as to why he was dismissed are foul and abusive language, or violent conduct. Both meaning he is likely to miss the quarter final meeting with Aston Villa, unless the Royals choose to appeal.

The whole situation was totally ridiculous and there was no need for the stewards to stop the players celebrating a great win. Its not like they were going to cause any trouble and certain stewards should never be allowed to work again following their actions.

I hope a full enquiry will take place into the scenes that followed the game, and if the FA have any sense they will overturn the red card given to McAnuff.

What a discrace those stewards were. Lets not let it take the gloss off a great win though….
