Despite the move being in doubt, goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen joined Portsmouth on a season-long loan a few weeks ago. He has started all three of Pompey’s games and has impressed the Fratton Park faithful, despite the League One side yet to pick up a win.

Young starlet Jordan Obita has also joined Portsmouth, on a one-month loan. The England U19 international even scored on his debut last Tuesday against Colchester, to earn Pompey a point. Former Reading player Brian Howard also joined the cash strapped club and is now club captain.

Irish striker Karl Sheppard has linked with League Two outfit Accrington Stanley on a six-month loan deal. He is yet to make a first team appearance for Reading, but did score on his Stanley debut against promotion chasing Southend with a good looping header over the keeper.

Fellow striker Brett Williams has joined up with Conference Premier side Woking, following a successful trial at the club. The former Eastleigh player has made four appearances, but is yet to get on the scoresheet. Williams is likely to start tonight as Woking take on Braintree at home.
