Glen Little hasn’t played for Reading since April of last season, and his injuries are now starting to “bemuse” Steve Coppell.

Currently Little is sidelined with an Achilles problem, but should the club get to the bottom of his injury problems Coppell believes it would be a boost to have him back. He told readingfc.co.uk, “Glen Little is still bemusing, I find it hard to understand to be honest. He had injections in his Achilles, and I’ve had Achilles problems in the past and I know how painful it can be.

“But we seem to get so far and we hit a glass ceiling and then we go back again after more treatment, so it’s not great.

“We really need him to make progress. I don’t really know what the options are, but it would be such a boost, because of his personality and his ability.

“It would be such a boost to have him fit.”

There doesn’t really seem to be any end in sight to his injury problems, but hopefully he can soon be available to Reading again as he is being missed.

It’s a mystery isn’t it. All that can be done is hope and pray he can return soon.

Must admit he’s always impressed me when he plays! What has he got? Wingers syndrome!
