After being sidelined for a year, Glen Little has taken another step towards making his long awaited Reading return.
Little started for the reserves in their 2-0 home win over Portsmouth reserves, putting in a good performance, before being substituted after 67 minutes.
Despite lacking in match fitness, Little showed glimpses of his old self, with some nice touches and trademark runs.
He nearly got on the score sheet as well, but his fifth minute shot was well saved by Jordan in the Pompey goal.
It’s looking increasingly likely that despite many fears, we will see Glen in a Reading shirt before the end of the season and if all goes to plan, he could be back in time for the home game with Fulham.
