Lita wins Goal of the season

Leroy Lita’s stunning overhead strike against promotion rivals Crystal Palace has earned him Goal of the season award for 2005/06.

Coming in with 30.6% of the vote, Lita pipped Bobby Convey who came second for his solo effort against Millwall, with 18.8%.

Lita’s long range effort as part of his hat-trick against West Brom came third with 14.8% of the vote consolidating Lita’s position as one of the country’s most exciting young talents.
