Today we get back to the Sky Bet Championship season as Reading take on Millwall at the Madejski Stadium.
Summer signing Saed Ezatolahi will miss this afternoons clash after picking up a knock on international duty with Iran. It is not known how long the season-long loan signing will be out of action for after getting injured during a training session. Injuries are also set to rule out strikers Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, Sam Baldock and veteran John O’Shea. Josh Sims is pushing for a start as well ahead of record signing Sone Aluko.
Millwall defender Mahlon Romeo has been ruled fit to compete this weekend after nursing a groin injury on international duty for Antigua and Barbuda. He didn’t appear for his country during the break because of it and has trained for most of the week with Neil Harris’ men. Centre-back Shaun Hutchinson could also feature after being ruled out long-term with a knee injury. Welsh striker Tom Bradshaw impressed during a U23’s outing midweek scoring twice and is pushing for a start up top.
It looked like the Royals were turning a bit of a corner after an upturn in form but that was quickly put to rest before the international break in convincing fashion at West Brom. Millwall are one place and one point above Paul Clement’s side going into this one. To say this game is must win is an understatement.
