Reading winger Jimmy Kebe has been linked with a deadline day move to Sven Goran Eriksson’s Leicester City, for a fee around £4m.

Sven is keen to add to his squad with Fulham’s Andy Johnson also being linked. The Foxes were also keen on Jermaine Beckford and Yakubu.

The Malian is in the last year of his current contract and has been in talks with the Reading board over the past couple of weeks for a new deal.

Reading though have reiterated they do not need to sell, considering the sales of Matt Mills and Shane Long, which accumulated around £10m in revenue.

Another player that has been linked with a move to the Madejski is Jacob Mellis, with Brian McDermott an admirer of the 20-year old, who currently is at Chelsea.

Surely won’t let kebe go at such a late stage. Impossible to replace.

Agreed. If we were to sell him we would need a decent replacment and I fail to see how we can find a decent one within 10 hours
