In the post match press conference after Wednesdays 1-0 defeat at home to Cardiff, you could have forgiven Brendan Rodgers for being slightly disheartened after watching us fail score yet again. However he was as positive as ever and when posed a question by occasional Vital Reading journalist Rory O’Sullivan, he was full of praise for the clubs supporters.

‘The supporters were terrific again and I think they see what we are trying to do and very, very close to be being very, very good. They’re with us all the way, I have empathy for them and we are one club.’

Rodgers will hope that things are better on the road, starting Saturday against Peterborough.
