Latvian captain Kaspars Gorkss started for his country, as they drew 0-0 with Kazakhstan. Latvia were also down to ten men for the majority of the game, but stood strong to gain his side a clean sheet.

Winger Hal Robson-Kanu started for Wales in their 1-0 loss to Costa Rica, in a match of rememberance for former Wales boss Gary Speed. HRK came close to scoring his first international goal but was denied by a good save.

Tireless midfielder Jem Karacan represented Turkey A2, the equivilant of the B side, that took apart Estonia 5-0 in the tournament group stage. Karacan is still content on winning a place for the national side.

Young midfielder Jake Taylor played for Wales U21s, as Brian Flynn’s side defeated Andorra 4-0 in Wales. The 19-year old is currently on loan at Exeter, where he is making a big impression for the League One side.
