After weeks of speculation regarding his future, it appears that Stephen Hunt is ready to commit to Reading.
The Irish winger has been heavily linked with a move to Sunderland in recent weeks, with the Royals rejecting two approaches from Roy Keane.
Contract talks have been ongoing, and it seems Hunt is finally ready to sign a new deal.
Hunt has been one of Reading’s top players this season and has started every Premier League game.
After arriving on a free transfer from Brentford in 2005, Hunt was originally seen as nothing more than a squad player, but he has come on leaps and bounds since the Royals won promotion to the top flight.
Hunt is now an established Ireland international and a key member of the Reading team and the club will be boosted by his decision to stay at the Madejski Stadium.

Would have been wasted at Sunderland. Good for you to keep him.
thats better. 🙂
nice to see he got the reception he deserved at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night!
Yeah, pity the chelsea fans are too stupid to realise the cech incident was an accident.
Can he actually talk properly and does he wash?
No, that much is true, he is, in every sense of the word, a pikey.
