Hunt on his way to Hull

After spending the past year telling everyone how he was too good for Reading Football Club, Stephen Hunt looks to have got his move back to the Premiership, and will be heading to the North East to discuss a move to Hull City.

The Tigers, who survived on the final day of last season to stay up in their first Premiership season, appear to be the only team in the race for Hunt’s signature after all the supposed clubs looking at him decided against making a bid forcing the Royals to lower their asking price.

Hunt is currently on international duty with the Repuplic of Ireland but will travel to the KC Stadium on Tuesday to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.

One of the longest transfer saga’s in Reading history finally looks like its coming to an end, and not before time. Hunt has offered nothing to this football club since he signed his first bumper new contract despite a few half decent displays at the start of last season.

Well the guy made it clear he wanted to move. Plenty of experience and will add energy to our midfield. Nice to see him pair with Jimmy Bullard. Getting interesting – Sky are also saying we are signing Kamil Gilhas from Celta Vigo …. things moving at last. Well done PB and PD.

Hunt hasn’t wanted to play for us for about a year and his performances have shown that. Won’t be sorry to see the back of him…

Looks set to go through tomorrow as long as there are no complications with the medical results….
