After, lets face it, years of speculation Stephen Hunt has finally left Reading and signed a 4 year deal with Premiership side Hull City for a fee in the region of £3 million.

Speculation regarding Hunt leaving Reading began in January 2007 when Sunderland were rumoured to have bid £5 million for his services. 2 bumper new contracts, and transfer window’s full of rumours linking him with moves away, later and he has left.

1 good season in 4 is the reason why not many fans will be sorry to see him go, and he was very vocal in his desires to leave the club on numerous occasions which upset many.

He will probably be remembered most, unfortunatly, for the incident against Chelsea in 2006 when an accidental challenge resulted in Petr Cech suffering a fractured skull and ending up in intensive care. By coincidence his first game for his new club could be on Saturday when Hull travel to Stamford Bridge, and he would be sure to get a good reception!
