Jose Mourinho may have had plenty of words to say against Stephen Hunt following his clash with Petr Cech, which left him with a fractured skull, but he is still sad to have seen him leave Chelsea.

The debate wrangled on for some time, with some still refusing to let it go now, but Hunt bares no grudges against Mourinho and feels his departure from Chelsea will be a loss for the whole country, “It’s disappointing. He has been great for the game in the Premier League,” Hunt told Sky Sports News.

“He added great competition to the top four and as a manager he had everything.

“He was great for the press and he was very close to his players by the looks of it and it’s a big loss to the Premier League.

“Of course he was (the special one). Two Premier Leagues, an FA Cup and a League Cup in three seasons, so give the man credit he has done extremely well.

“He brought a different style to the Premier League, more arrogance in a way, but he was good competition for Sir Alex Ferguson.”

As you would expect questions were asked of him on how he viewed the criticism levelled at him from Mourinho after his clash with Chelsea goalkeeper Cech, to which hew replied, also to Sky Sports News, “It’s one of those things. That’s football, sometimes you try and reflect things off the team on the day and in fairness they won the game in the end.

“It’s all part and parcel of the game. You learn things from him and how he deals with the press and it was only good for the game.

“He was great for the Premier League. I’m sure you have to pay him a few bucks to have him as your manager, but he is probably worth every penny.”

Mourinho will be missed by Chelsea, and fans throughout the country, as love him or hate him, although most people did like him really, people like him are good for the game, so he will be missed, but I am sure he will be back at some point, maybe not with Chelsea, or Reading, but someone in this league.

It is a shame to see Mourinho leave, and it is good of Hunt to come out and say what he did. Plenty has been said on the incident, so this does not need to be covered again by anything I say here in these comments.

Nevermind, I’m sure we will all get over him going soon enough. Jose Who?

I still think it is sad to have seen him go though myself.
