It appears the media have resorted to the ‘player playing well for relegated club, so will join a promoted club’ rumour.

The player in question in our in-form winger Hal Robson-Kanu, who has been linked to Cardiff City by the Daily Mirror. The 23-year old has enjoyed a very successful spell in recent games for the Royals, plus scoring a double against Fulham last weekend.

The price being quoted by the tabloid is £2.5 million for HRK, which is absolutely ridiculous. At the age of 23 and starting to excel for club and country, I wouldn’t take anything lower than £4 million. I wouldn’t say he is irreplaceable, but will aid our promotion push if he stays.
