Reading defender John Halls has joined up with Neil Warnock’s Crystal Palace side on a months loan.

The former Arsenal trainee has failed to make an impact at Reading following his move from Stoke and this will be his second loan move of the season.

Halls played four games for Preston in a month long loan deal at Deepdale earlier in the season, his last game for Preston being away at Palace.

He has made just one Premier League appearance for the Royals, coming on as a late sub in the defeat at Bolton earlier this season.

The loan deal will start this Friday and Halls will be hoping to make an immediate impact as he looks for a permanent move, with his Reading future looking bleak.

Meanwhile Royals ‘keeper Graham Stack has extended his loan spell at Wolves until the end of the season.
