Reading are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performances by Lewis Grabban in the three one victory over Aston Villa and the two one victory over Rotherham United in the weekend’s Easter double header was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Grabban was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Reading bounced back from their 7-1 humiliation at Norwich City in fine fashion, halting Aston Villa’s fine home form with a 3-1 win at Villa Park. Grabban scored one and made the other two in that game, and he netted a stunning equaliser as Reading came from behind to beat Rotherham United on Easter Monday.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Grabban for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.
