Reading goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen has completed his loan move to cash-strapped side Portsmouth.

Many reports last week suggested that the move had fallen through, due to Pompey unable to pay the Dane’s wages. This will allow Andersen to play regular first team football in League One. Despite not yet making a first team appearance for Reading, he has had successful loan spells with Bristol Rovers.

This move could prompt Royals boss Brian McDermott to complete the transfer of free agent Stuart Taylor, to provide back up for first choices Adam Federici and Alex McCarthy. The 31-year old goalkeeper joined the Royals for a trail period last month, but could now well have won a deal at the Madejski Stadium.
