Jobi McAnuff has finally found a new club, dropping a division to join League One side Leyton Orient.

Orient have recently been taken over and have invested heavily in the playing squad in recent weeks, now bringing in the priceless experience that Jobi has. He has signed a two-year deal and would have most likely turned down offers from abroad to stay in England.

I think it’s a move that makes great sense for both clubs – the experience he brings to Orient is crucial and he still gets to play his trade in England, which he still has the capability to do. Good luck to Jobi, it would be good to see him back at the Mad Stad soon.

On the topic of released players, Mikele Leigertwood has spent time on trial with Nottingham Forest this month and Stuart Taylor joined Leeds too. Still no word on Kaspars Gorkss, while Wayne Bridge and Jason Roberts retired, with the latter still indulging in his media work.
