Former Royal Oster, who was part of the Championship winning season in 2006 and subsequent Premiership years, spent last season at Doncaster and impressed at the Keepmoat Stadium.

He had been out of contract but his consistant performances have earnt him a new two year deal and he will be one of the key players for Rovers next season as they look to build on last season’s impressive 12th place finish.

In other former Royals news, James Harper is rumoured to be set to join Crystal Palace after his release by Sheff Utd.

Whenever I saw him for Donny last season he looked good. Pleased to see he has got a decent 2 year deal on the back of that, always thought he was hard done by in his time here.
