Fae Looking to Prove his Worth

Emerse Fae may be a household name in France, but he is still getting known in the Premier League, however he hopes he can do this and become equally as known in the country as he is there.

Since his signing from Nantes in the summer the clubs record signing has found it difficult to command a regular starting place, but he did play the vast majority of the second half against Arsenal on Monday, coming up against several old friends, “It was a pleasure to play such a game, as I already know Gael Clichy, Mathieu Flamini, Bacary Sagna from France’s youth teams and Lassana Diarra from Nantes,” Fae told setantasports.com.

After playing two reserve games recently he got the call from Steve Coppell with 35 minutes to play against Arsenal and although he admits his frustration at a lack of football he enjoyed being back in the first team for that match and looks forward to getting more football under his belt, even though he acknowledges he is starting from scratch in England but is looking forward to the challenge of proving himself, “I started to lose patience but playing is a big boost for my morale,” Fae also told setantasports.com.

“I am conscious that I start from zero because I was well-known in France but nobody knows me here, so I have to give my best to make people get to know who I am and what I am made of.

“It was the same when I joined Nantes, so I don’t see why it would not be the same here.”

Some people take longer than others to settle into a new country, but Fae clearly has the talent, which he proved in France so he will do this at Reading too.
