McAnuff was dismissed after the final whistle at the Hawthorns on Wednesday night following a clash with Youssuf Malumbu, who clearly booted the ball at him when his back was turned.

The ref showed a red card to McAnuff but ignored the actions of the West Brom player and in a further blow to the Royals winger, he has also been charged improper conduct.

The charge relates to his actions following the dismissal that saw him confront referee Lee Mason and also refuse to leave the pitch.

He will be suspended for at least three games including the Quarter final with Aston Villa, and has until Monday 1st March to respond to the charge of improper conduct.

How can the FA take further action against McAnuff but ignore Malumbu’s part in all this? Hopefully they will also act on the behaviour of West Brom stewards.
