Eight of Reading’s first team players will be on international duty this weekend, with one already withdrawing from their respective squad….

Reading forwards Hal Robson-Kanu and Simon Church have been called up for Chris Coleman’s Wales squad, while new signing Chris Gunter is also included as usual. They will face Belgium on Sky Sports tomorrow, before jetting off to face Serbia on Tuesday night.

Central defender Kasaprs Gorkss will captain Latvia, as they prepare to face off against Bosnia and Greece in the coming week. Fellow defender and new signing Adrian Mariappa will join up with the Jamaica squad as they face the USA over two legs.

Goalkeeper Adam Federici was called up to the Australia squad for their friendly matches, but has withdrawn due to injury. The extent of the problem is not known, but the 27-year old should be fit for next weeks game against Tottenham. However, young Ryan Edwards captained the Aussies U19s to a 4-0 win over Vietnam on Monday.

Young midfielder Jake Taylor has joined up with John Flynn’s Wales U21 squad, as they prepare to face the Czech Republic next week. Youth Irish defender Pierce Sweeney is in the Ireland U19 squad, who are due to play Latvia on Saturday.
