Kevin Doyle believes his best is yet to come after revealing he has not felt 100% fit all season. Doyle who has netted seven goals in his inaugural Premiership season so far has scored more then Thierry Henry but only now believes that he is fully fit enough to perform at full power.

Reading`s number nine shirt wearer has scored four in last four games, netting the consolation goal in Reading`s away loss at Pompey and since scoring in every victory his last the penalty that saw off Fulham at Craven Cottage.

It was that penalty that has seen him take a place amongst the top scorers in the Barclays Premiership, scoring the same amount as Wayne Rooney and with only Didier Drogba and Pompey`s on form Kanu topping him.

But the pacy forward declared that there is a lot more to come from him in Saturday`s fixture with Bolton.

‘Personally, I don’t think I’ve played my best stuff at all yet and hopefully there is a lot more to come.’

Speaking to the Reading Evening Post, the Republic of Ireland Striker disclosed details about the injury that has been holding him back:

‘My left quad is 25% weaker than my right quad. That has been the case since the summer.

‘One week, it is fine, but then I have to miss a few training sessions because it hurts.

‘Last week, I didn’t train until Thursday, but I have been doing a strengthening programme with (physio) Jon Fearn and it has been okay this week.

With the problem solved thanks to Jon Fearn`s training programme Kevin will be hoping to make it five out of five against Bolton tomorrow and teammate Ivar Ingimarsson is in full support of Doyle doing the business:

‘Kevin is proving what a great player he is,’ the Royals defender said.

‘He never gives up. It was great skill by him to win a penalty at Fulham and then a cool head to score the winner from the spot.

‘He and Seol Ki-Hyeon are playing really well to make us a threat going forward and our confidence is high for the Bolton match after beating Tottenham, Charlton and Fulham.’

No wonder fans at the Madejski Stadium all dream of team of Kevin Doyles?
