Reading were beaten 3-1 at Ewood Park which capped off a disappointing end to a rather disappointing season.

This defeat meant The Royals picked up just one point from their last seven games and their last win was in February, at Charlton.

Who would’ve said Reading would finish in 17th back in October when they beat Burnley away and Middlesbrough at home (the two top teams).

It’s a completely depleted squad that needs another serious shake up.

At Blackburn, Josh Barrett and Rob Dickie both got a half each and hopefully that’s a sign that Brian is going to bleed the youth through next season, mixed with some experienced Championship players.

This time last season, we were saying exactly the same thing. Despite the fantastic start to the season, looking back at it, Clarke got it all wrong, bringing in seven loans when we’re trying to build for the future. It just doesn’t work.
