Dills: We Want Nine

While many Reading fans will simply be hoping for at least one win from the next three games, assistant boss Kevin Dillon thinks they can go the whole hog and win three out of three.

With the Royals perching precariously on the edge of the relegation zone, their fate is still very much in their own hands and although four points will more than likely be enough to keep them up, Dillon says the team is targeting maximum points.

He said, ‘If we win our three games then we will be safe.

‘We’ve got games against teams in our area, some massive games. We’re in a better position than other teams, so there’s pressure on them.’

Dillon also stuck up for Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez, following his criticism for playing weakened sides.

Dills said, ‘It annoys me when managers question the integrity of others.

‘Rafa can do what he wants.’

I’m not sure if he’ll have that same attitude if Birmingham manage to turn over an under strength Liverpool side on Saturday, but as Dillon pointed out, fate is still in the hands of the Royals and as long as they do their job, it wouldn’t matter if Birmingham win their last three games 162-0, the Royals will be staying up.
