West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo held the record for the fastest goal scored in an FA Cup final, up until last season when Louis Saha scored for Everton against Chelsea. His 45 second goal for Chelsea against Middlesbrough will also be remembered for one of the best goals scored in an FA Cup final, against former Reading loanee Ben Roberts in the Boro goal. Anyway, he has a proper cup pedigree!

He will bring his side, who sit top of the Championship table, to the Madejski Stadium this weekend for the 5th round tie and he is expecting a tough afternoon.

‘Reading have had a proper cup run, they knocked out Liverpool and Burnley and they have picked up in the league since the new manager has come in and got hold of the team.’

He went onto talk of the Royals improving home record and our solid looking defence!

‘I’m sure they will be up for it, they are playing at home and I’m sure it will be a nice distraction for them. They seems to be conceding less goals and look more solid.’

Di Matteo has always been one of footballs nice guys and I enjoy watching his sides play. They gave Brendan Rodgers Royals side the run around earlier in the season but under McDermott we are a much better outfit and Saturday’s game could be a cup classic.
