Derby attacking midfielder Tomasz Cywka is on the verge of a move to the Madejski Stadium, after he admitted he is strongly considering a move to Reading. He has also said he turned down a move back to native Poland.

The 23-year old Polish U21 international has not been in Nigel Clough’s plans as of late and has said he is free to leave Pride Park for a nominal fee. Jonny Fordham said that Cywka and his agent were seen at Hogwood this morning.

Cywka reportedly said: ‘When I was sitting in his office [Slask President], my phone rang. I did not pick it up but later I read my agent’s message and he wrote that Reading submitted an offer for me. Finally, I decided that I want to play for Reading and Slask understood my decision.’.

He signed for Wigan is 2006 but failed to make an appearance in the Premier League, leading to a move to Pride Park where he made 39 appearances, scoring five goals in the process. HIs last goal came against the Royals in the 2-2 draw back in October.
