Could Seol be about to return?

Former Reading winger Seol Ki Hyeon is rumoured to be about to return to the club, on loan from Premiership Fulham until the end of the season. He is the second player pinpointed as the experience needing to be added to the squad by Brian McDermott, to help us avoid relegation.

Seol joined the Royals from Wolves in the summer of 2006 and went onto feature heavily in his first season at club, helping us to an 8th place finish and scoring some fantastic goals along the way. He also kept Glen Little out of the team for long periods of time, which was no mean feat.

He departed in August 2007 in a swap deal for Liam Rosenior but after initially impressing at Craven Cottage, he finds himself well out of the first team picture and searching for a move to ensure he is part of the South Korea squad at the World Cup in South Africa.

You either loved Seol, or hated him, during his spell at the club. Capable of winning a match on his own, like we saw away at West Ham, but not one to put in the effort when he hasn’t got the ball! However any player who has the kind of skill and ability as Seol would be a valuable addition to our squad right now. Sure as hell beats watching Jimmy Kebe every week!

Great move if it comes off, some genuine quality on the right could see McAnuff back on the left where he was playing so well earlier in the season. And of course Gylfi back in the middle….
