Coppell Minimises Europe Talk Again!

Steve Coppell has been quick to rubbish talk of Reading`s hope of European football in light of the Royals`s 6-0 win over West Ham.

The Reading boss who is forever keeping his head and team in the present rather then future said:

‘My side still have an awful lot to do and I am far from feeling safe as this division can strangle you to death.

Reading were last being hyped by the media after they spent the best part of November unbeaten and stood in good standings in the League.

But all that changed after they faced defeats to Newcastle, Blackburn, Everton and Man Utd picking up only two points in between from Watford and Chelsea.

‘We have played four games in nine days,” Coppell continued “And, if we pick up injuries or suspensions, we are more vulnerable than most.

‘I’m not thinking about next season. I’ll just be grateful to get through our first in the Premiership.’

It`s good to see that Steve Coppell has resolved to keep his same old attitude this year.

It is his down to earth thinking and steadfastness that have helped get us to the position we are in. Don’t ever change, Steve!
