Coppell keep sights on the Premiership

Reading, who played some clever football at times were not helped by a clear penalty shout being waved away by referee Andy D`Urso and ultimately hung on to take a good point from an impressive Palace display.

Despite taking just 6 points from the last five games, Coppell, talking to RFC website, said “the squad is good enough to take us where we want to go”. Lets hope so. But with an injury and a two game suspension to Liam Rosenior, Reading might have to turn to Club Captain Graeme Murty for valuable support.

Two other old faces, that of former club favourites Dave Kitson and Glenn Little, both back to Reading on loan spells will also relish the chance to prove their worth in the chase for automatic promotion. Coppell told RFC website that, it is “probably the most competitive squad” he has managed at the club to date.

With a break for International fixtures this coming Saturday, the players will savour a well earned break and look ahead to the 4th April where they travel to a Coventry team looking to mount their own promotion campaign.
