Steve Coppell has reassured Simon Church that he still has future with Reading.

Church, 18, was sent out on loan to Crewe recently but Coppell insists that he still has high hopes for the young striker, and this loan move will be in the best interests of his career, “He is young and the experience will do him good. He is a player we look towards for the future,” Coppell told the Daily Mail.

I think that Coppell pointed out previously that the reserves only had four games between the time he left and the end of this year, one of which was played this week, so it would have been more beneficial for him to have gone out on loan to have played as many, if not more game in one month, and maybe extend this.

It is definitely a good move for everyone, Church will learn a lot from Crewe and should come back a better player for it.
