Shortly after the Royals secured a 1-0 victory over Torquay in the 1st round of the Carling Cup, the draw was made for round 2 and we have been handed a home tie.
Northampton will travel to the Madejski Stadium in the week commencing 23rd August, with the date to be announced in due course.
The 2nd round does not fall on an international week, so it will be interesting to see what kind of side Brian McDermott will put out against the League Two side.

Also, Torquay smashed Northampton on the opening day so we should be confident…..
