The referee for this weekends all important game at Leicester?s Walker?s Stadium will be Clive Penton of Sussex.

Penton started his refereeing career in 1986 in Brighton, mainly featuring in the Isthmian league and became a Football League assistant ref in 1997.

From there he went onto the Premier League?s assistants list in 2000 and became a National List referee a year later.

Penton has been in charge of one Royals game this season, that was in November when Reading beat Hull City at home 3-1 and although Penton is not afraid to show a card or two, only Craig Fagan was booked for the visitors.

So far this season Penton has been in charge of 33 games and has managed to book 104 and send off nine. He has not yet managed a game where he has not shown a card.

Penton?s highest card count in one game for this season is ten. He showed nine yellow cards and one red in the game between Bristol City and Swansea in January.

Last time out Penton took charge of the game between Bristol City and Gillingham, the score was 6-0 to the Robins and Gillingham had one booked and one sent off.
