Cisse sends the right message to Rodgers

Mali international Cisse was in the headlines last week for his outburst over his Reading future. He was dissapointed at his lack of first team action this season, and said he would consider his options in January if things didn’t improve.

Of course that was a well timed outburst, as there was a place vacant in the midfield following Brian Howard’s injury and Rodgers opted for the more defensive minded Cisse ahead of Jem Karacan who had been expected to step in.

And Cisse let his feet do the talking at Hillsborough with a fine display, capped with a fantastic goal that secured all three points for the Royals.

There is no doubt Cisse could be a fine player but he has not done it consistantly enough in his time at the Madejski Stadium. He has taken his chance though when given his first team oppurtunity, now he has to stay in the team and that will be the deciding factor when the January transfer window opens.
