Bournemouth had hoped to keep Jem Karacan on loan for a longer period of time, and this wish has been granted.

Karacan’s loan would have ended before Bournemouth’s match on Sunday, but an extension was agreed and he will now stay at Dean Court until January, something that Bournemouth boss Kevin Bond is happy with as he told afcb.co.uk, “I’ve seen him play three or four times. He’s a little workaholic in the middle of the park.

“He enjoys grafting and closing people down and he’s a useful type of player. He’s the sort of player we need right now and gives us one or two more options.”

When this loan spell does end he could return to Reading but it is still possible that the 18 year old could stay longer, possibly for the remainder of the season.
