With just a week to go before the start of the new Championship season, and the visit of Nottingham Forest, we play our final pre season game against Premier League giants Chelsea. Brendan Rodgers will welcome the club he helds in such high regard, to the Madejski Stadium and the Blues are set to field a strong squad with the likes of John Terry and Frank Lampard sure to feature.
We are likely to play as near as possible to the side that will start that game against Forest and we could also get official confirmation of who will be the new club captain.
Stephen Hunt will miss the game as he has still not recovered from a groin injury and Julian Kelly will also miss the game along with long term injury victim Ivar Ingimarsson.
Chelsea will select from a near fully fit squad after Michael Ballack returned from a toe injury.
