Reading captain Jobi McAnuff is looking for a repeat performance of our last game with his former side Cardiff, last saw us put in a fantastic performance to beat the Bluebirds 3-0 on their own turf.

In that match, McAnuff unarguably scored his best goal in a Reading shirt to confirm the Royals’ Wembley place after a dazzling run and finishing superbly to sent all Reading fans into raptures that night.

The 29-year old told GetReading: “That was definitely one of the highlights of my career. It was a great night and I thought the whole performance from everyone was exceptional.”

“I watched that goal back a couple of times towards the end of last year. But after the play-offs I shoved that to the back of my memory to try to crack on this year.’

McAnuff has never got the warmest of receptions from the native Cardiff fans but will aim to prove them wrong this Saturday. He made 43 appearances for the Bluebirds, scoring two goals.
