Bygrave Staying With Gills

Royals youngster Adam Bygrave will spend his third month on loan at League One side Gillingham, after extending his loan deal to Saturday 16th February.

The 18 year old has made 7 appearances for the Gills since joining them in November and has impressed Gillingham boss Mark Stimson.

‘Adam is a good young player and is developing all the time,’ he told the official Gills website.

‘He has a good attitude in training and wants to improve. We are giving him priceless first-team opportunities and I think Reading realise that is a great benefit to the boy.’

Bygrave himself was delighted by the prospect of more first team football.

He said, ‘I’m pleased that the deal has been extended for a further month.

‘I am learning all the time and the boys are good here at Gillingham.

‘First-team football is vital to my development so it’s a good move for both clubs as well as me personally.’

Meanwhile Reading are in discussions with Crewe as to whether Wales Under 21 striker, Simon Church, will be allowed to extend his loan deal at Gresty Road.
